Educational file

As a result of the Foundation's collaboration with the Ministry of National Education and Religious Affairs, the educational file "Eleftherios Venizelos. Following his steps…" has been published for the students of the sixth grade of primary school.
The file includes four books: Βιβλίο Ιστορικών Πληροφοριών (Book of Historic Information), Διαδρομή στο χρόνο (Travel in Time), Βιβλίο Δραστηριοτήτων (Activity Book) for students and Βιβλίο Οδηγιών (Book of Guidelines) for teachers.
The publication started within the programme “Melina – Education and Culture” but it was only feasible with the collaboration and funding of the Ministry of National Education and Religious Affairs. It is an important project for education; for the first time, in the sixth grade of 5000 primary schools of the country, students will be taught about the life and political course of Venizelos in relation to the socio-political conditions and historic events on a national or European level at a certain time period.
With this publication, the Foundation is addressing Primary Education and proposes an alternative approach of teaching modern history, by introducing the chapter “Venizelos” into schools in a scientific and documented manner.
The file books were written by the teachers Giorgos Kandarakis, Dimitris Kartsakis and Kostas Manolakis, and the editions “Kalidoskopio” undertook the book design and editing.
