20 Jul Meeting with the President of the Hellenic Republic
On Wednesday, July 19, 2023, the President of the Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou, held a meeting at the Presidential Palace with the President of the Council of State, Evangelia Nika, and the General Director of the “Eleftherios K. Venizelos” National Foundation, Nikolaos Papadakis-Papadis. During the meeting, she was ceremoniously presented with the first copy of the collective volume titled “Nine decades of the Council of State: the visions of Eleftherios Venizelos and the evolution of the institution over time,” which has just been published.
This publication contains the insights from the conference which took place in June 2021 at the premises of the Council of State under the auspices of the President of the Republic, who also delivered an introductory speech. Distinguished academics, lawyers, and judges thoroughly analyze the progress of the supreme court during its nine decades of existence, from the visions of Eleftherios Venizelos to the present day. The formal presentation of the volume is scheduled for autumn in Athens.
