06 May The French Ambassador at the Residence Museum of Venizelos.
On Friday, May 2nd 2025, the French Ambassador to Greece, Laurence Auer, visited the Residence Museum of Eleftherios Venizelos in Chalepa.
Ms. Auer was accompanied by the Honorary Consul of France in Chania, Katerina Kastrinaki, and the Vice President of the French-Hellenic Association of Chania, Gina Pavlaki-Kalogeri. She met with the Director General of the National Research Foundation “Eleftherios K. Venizelos,” Nikolaos Papadakis (Papadis), who informed her about the Foundation’s work. They also had the opportunity to discuss Greek-French relations during Venizelos’ premiership.
The Ambassador was then given a tour of the Museum by the Foundation’s Deputy Director, Argyro Vatsaki, and signed the guestbook, writing: “Thank you warmly for the heartfelt welcome. The shared destiny of France and Greece, and Venizelos’ personal journey, are deeply linked with the great history of Greece and Europe. Congratulations on this outstanding museum!”
