The President of the Helelnic Parliament and of the National Research Foundation “Eleftherios K. Venizelos”, Nikos Voutsis, announced last night in Hania after the annual board of the Foundation, which he chaired, the operation of an academy of political and diplomatic studies in the city of Hania. The Foundation will run the Academy within its educational and research work, with the support of the Helelnic Parliament.
The academy will be addressed to the scientific community and politicians. The participants will have the opportunity to delve into specific issues related to Eleftherios Venizelos and his era, his governance, the Modern Greek and European political and diplomatic history, the international relations and the parliamentary diplomacy. Beyond the purely historical dimension, emphasis will be given to the timelessness and topicality of specific subjects by highlighting the current reality and by researching the possible continuities or discontinuities.
