On the occasion of the anniversary of the bombing of the Revolutionary Camp of Akrotiri, a memorial event took place on Saturday, February 10, 2024, in Agios Christoforos Korakion (Traphos area). The speaker was Emmanouil Theodorakis, a high school teacher and author. Traditional Cretan songs (rizitika) and dances followed, performed by the Folklore Dance Association of Akrotiri “O Kayales”.
The event was organized by the Regional Unit of Chania, the Municipality of Chania, the “Eleftherios K. Venizelos” National Foundation , the Municipal Community of Kounoupidiana, and the Cultural Associations of Akrotiri.
