Visit by Nobel Laureate Orhan Pamuk

Orhan Pamuk visited the Residence Museum of Eleftherios Venizelos in Halepa on Tuesday, 26 May. The renowned Turkish author, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2006, was given a tour of the historic residence by Giorgos Koukourakis, General Director of the National Foundation “Eleftherios K. Venizelos”.
Mr Pamuk showed particular interest in the operation of the museum and the work of the Foundation, as he established his own museum in Istanbul in 2012, inspired by one of his best-known novels, The Museum of Innocence.
