Event for the Treaty of Lausanne in Corfu

The significance of the Treaty of Lausanne and its implications on the modern political stage were highlighted in an event that took place in Corfu on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. The event with the theme “100 years since the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne” was organized by the AHEPA Department of Corfu and the Ionian University, with the contribution of the National Foundation “Eleftherios K. Venizelos”.
Speakers included Dr. Konstantinos Filis, Associate Professor at the American College of Greece and former Executive Director of the Institute of International Relations at Panteion University, Savvas Kalenteridis, Analyst of International Relations and Geopolitics, and Nikolaos Papadakis-Papadis, the General Director of the National Foundation “Eleftherios K. Venizelos”. Dionysios Chourchoulis, Assistant Professor at the Department of History of the Ionian University, also participated in the event, which was moderated by Nikos Dimitropoulos, Lt. District Governor of AHEPA Hellas and doctoral researcher at the Ionian University.
