Event for Eleftherios Venizelos in Mournies, Hania.

The annual event for Eleftherios Venizelos, organised by the Foundation and the Municipality of Eleftherios Venizelos, was held in Mournies (garden of the church Zoodohos Pigi), Chania, on August 31st .
The event comprised a tribute to Eleftherios Venizelos and his era.
The speakers were: Nikolaos Soilentakis, President of the Court of Appeal, on the topic “70 years of the movement of '35. The execution of the Cavalry Captain Volanis”, Athina Mplazoudaki Stavroulaki, Literature teacher, on the topic “Elena Venizelou” and Marilena Kasimati, Curator of the National Gallery, on the presentation of the book by Antonis Varouhakis  "Ανδριάντες και προτομές του Ελευθερίου Βενιζέλου στον ελλαδικό χώρο" (“Statues and Busts of Eleftherios Venizelos in Greece”).
