Presentation of the publication “Ιστορικό Λεύκωμα. Ελευθέριος Βενιζέλος”(“Eleftherios Venizelos: Historical Album”).

The Foundation and the Pancretan Association organised an event for the presentation of the Foundation’s publication "Ιστορικό Λεύκωμα. Ελευθέριος Βενιζέλος" (“Eleftherios Venizelos: Historical Album”) on June 30th at the Zappeion Building.
The speakers of the event were the Minister of Economy & Finance, Nikos Hristodoulakis, and the Mayor of Athens, Ntora Mpakogianni.
Comments were made by Manos Haritatos, Chairman of the Hellenic Literary and Historical Archive (ELIA) and Valentini Tselika, Manager of the Historical Archive of the Benaki Museum. Nikolaos E. Papadakis, CEO of the Foundation, Georgios Prasianakis, Chairman of the Pancretan Association and Eleni Gardika Katsiadaki, Scientific Advisor of the Foundation.
The event was realised with the support of the Thimeli/ Banousis editions.
The book "Ιστορικό Λεύκωμα. Ελευθέριος Βενιζέλος" ("Eleftherios Venizelos: Historical Album") is a bilingual publication (Greek and English) that was published during the Presidency of Greece in the European Union. The publication’s objective is the brief but representative panorama of the numerous incidents in the course of Eleftherios Venizelos in the Cretan, Greek and international political scenery. The photographic material is divided in chapters that represent the aspects of his personality, his political vision and his work, while the brief accompanying texts introduce the reader into the historical facts of this period and point out the leading role of Venizelos.
